Reminiscing Goa

If you are the type of person who wants to spend at least a month exploring unexplored places or if you are the type of person who wants to spend a weekend with your loved ones then Goa is undoubtfully your kind of place. There is hardly any teenager who would say no to a vacation in Goa.

I still remember the day we booked tickets to goa because never in my wildest dream did I believed that I would go to Goa. Because it is not just another trip that we plan for a month and execute. Planning to Goa takes lots of patience and most importantly you really should have the blessings of mother Goa to visit Goa(I am not kidding😎)

After months of research, we finally managed to book the cheapest accommodations available in town and we had a rough plan for the places that we wanted to explore.

Day 1

We arrived bright and early at the Vasco Da Gama railway station, Goa. We all decided to make the most of our upcoming 72 hours as satisfying as possible. A 1-hour journey through some of the beautiful bridges and mist-filled seawater brought us to the beach town named Candolim. Narrow roads with shops on either side set the pace for us. As soon as we checked the hotel room the first thing that caught my attention is this particular quote in the reception which goes like this.

Travelling- It makes you speechless and turns you into a storyteller.

I never really cared about this quote until I was parasailing in the middle of a sea. Well, here I am now sharing my experiences.

Parasailing in Baga Beach

Candolim Beach was just a 1 Km drive from our place. It was a decent beach and it was the first place we visited in Goa. The best way to explore Goa is to rent a bike and to explore aimlessly.

With the help of the hotel staff, we were able to reduce the price for some of the adventure activities in Baga Beach. The same evening we visited Tito’s lane which is near Baga Beach. Pretty much everyone’s goal who comes to Goa is to party in Tito’s Lane and get high. But in turn, all we get are memories that are cherished for our entire lifetime.

Day 2

The next morning we woke up to the bright sunlight which entered through our hotel window. We started our journey to Aguada fort through some of the scenic village roads. The 17th-century fort has stolen the hearts of many tourists. It is situated on Sinquerim beach in North Goa.

The second place which we planned is to see is the Kaurati caves or the Devil’s finger. Sounds scary right. It was the only place that we were most excited about than going to Baga Beach. To get to the caves by the beach, you have to trek down a footpath which will offer you some of the spectacular sunsets with scenic beauty and a quiet and peaceful atmosphere.

Kaurati Caves

Goa trip is incomplete without visiting Baga Beach. The majestic Neon Signboard welcomes us all to this beautiful landscape. Baga is home to some of the biggest hotspots of nightlife in Goa. The hotels on the white sandy beach lit with romantic lamps and live bands add up to the festival-like ambience.

Day 3

It was the final day of our trip and the only plan was to visit Reis Magos fort. Built by the banks of the Mandovi river in 1497, the top of the fort has some of the breathtaking views of the river. The fort was completely ruined until a few years back it was restored to its original version.

Most of us know Goa as the place to party, but it is a perfect place if you love shopping. Whether your budget is big or small Goa has something to please you. It is hard to leave this city without picking up a few things in one of the flea markets.

It is incredible how much we accomplished in three days, and yet managed to have a relaxed and laid back time. Goa is one of those destinations that every traveller must visit at least once. It is one of those holiday destinations that will leave an everlasting impression on our minds. Watching the sun disappear behind the mighty clouds right before my eyes are a few of the many things I keep replaying in my head. And these are things I am most grateful for.
